Police officials in Bulandshahr recently uncovered an alleged cyber fraud operation that was targeting people through fake online calls and digital payment scams. Authorities stated that the accused used fraudulent bank messages and fake customer care numbers to deceive victims.
During a late-night raid, the cyber crime unit seized multiple mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, and fake documents from the suspects. Officials revealed that several complaints had been registered over the past few weeks regarding suspicious online transactions and financial losses.
Investigators are currently examining digital evidence and tracing bank accounts connected to the fraud network. Cyber experts are assisting police teams to identify additional members who may be operating from nearby districts.
Residents have been advised not to share OTPs, banking passwords, or personal details over phone calls or social media platforms. Police also encouraged citizens to verify online payment requests carefully before making transactions.
